The technical center of SPPM is a state level technical center engaging in the design and development of diversified printing and packaging machineries.

The Center highly values the technical innovation and intellectual rights protection. Since 1999, 135 patents and copyrights have been registered, 118 of them has been authorized. Many products, such as PZ41020B-AL offset press, TYM920IIL auto holographic hot stamping and die-cutting machine, ZXJD440C perfect binding line and PE pipe production line have been listed in 2005 Shanghai Patented New Products List. 12 independent products and 29 products of 8 series have been certified by CE. In 2005 the center obtained the certificate of ISO9001.

A series of printing and packaging machineries have been titled as Shanghai Famous Brand Products, including die-cutting, hot stamping and creasing machine of Shanghai YAWA for consecutive 10 years, disk perfect binding machine and saddle stitching line for consecutive 8 years and perfect binding line for 6 consecutive years from Shanghai Purlux, QZK series micro computerized program control paper cutter for 9 consecutive years and SJZ series plastic injection and accessory machines for 6 consecutive years from Shanghai Shen Wei Da and PZ4650 offset press for 3 consecutive years from Shanghai Guanghua.
